Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh – 10 Disember 2024 • Dalam satu kejadian mengejutkan, Ajay Agrawal, seorang peniaga dari Uttar Pradesh telah ditangkap kerana menghasilkan 500 liter susu palsu menggunakan hanya satu liter bahan kimia berbahaya! Penangkapan itu dibuat oleh Lembaga Piawaian dan Keselamatan Makanan India (FSSAI) selepas serbuan di perniagaannya, Agarwal Traders.

Selama hampir dua dekad, Agrawal telah menjual susu sintetik , menggunakan bahan kimia berbahaya dalam proses tersebut. Pihak berkuasa mendedahkan bahawa dengan hanya 5 mg bahan kimia, dia boleh menghasilkan sehingga 2 liter susu palsu. Video demonstrasi menunjukkan bagaimana bahan kimia ini boleh ditukar menjadi susu dengan menambah air, perasa dan pemanis untuk menutupi bau dan rasa yang tidak semula jadi.

Pegawai merampas pemanis yang telah luput dan pelbagai bahan kimia lain, termasuk kalium kaustik dan lemak soya yang telah diproses. Siasatan sedang dijalankan untuk mendedahkan rangkaian pengedaran produk susu palsu Agrawal selama enam bulan yang lalu.

Kes ini menyerlahkan isu serius penyelewengan susu di India, di mana hampir separuh daripada operasi tenusu berada dalam sektor tidak teratur, menjadikan usaha kawalan kualiti menjadi sukar. Dengan penangkapan ini, diharapkan kesedaran mengenai bahaya susu palsu dan penyelewengan makanan akan meningkat di kalangan masyarakat.
