Pada April 2025, dunia sekali lagi dikejutkan dengan kenyataan Presiden Amerika Syarikat, Donald Trump, dalam sebuah majlis Republikan:

“Negara-negara ini menghubungi kita, mencium belakang saya. Mereka sangat terdesak untuk membuat perjanjian.” – Donald Trump

Kenyataan ini mencerminkan satu bentuk keangkuhan kuasa besar yang menggunakan kekuatan ekonomi untuk menekan negara lain demi kepentingan sendiri. Trump telah mengenakan tarif setinggi 104% terhadap China dan sekitar 90 buah negara lain. Tidak cukup dengan itu, China pula membalas dengan tarif 84% dan membawa isu ini ke Pertubuhan Perdagangan Dunia (WTO).

Di sebalik konflik ini, ramai yang terlepas pandang: negara-negara membangun dan Islam – termasuk di Asia Tenggara – turut menjadi mangsa dalam perebutan kuasa global ini.

Dunia Islam dan ASEAN: Antara Realiti dan Tekanan

Negara-negara Islam sering menjadi sasaran tekanan geopolitik atas nama demokrasi atau keselamatan. Namun di sebalik retorik itu, ada kepentingan minyak, gas, dan sumber nadir bumi yang menjadi rebutan.

Malangnya, sesetengah pemimpin dunia Islam rela tunduk demi mempertahankan kedudukan sendiri, menyebabkan kedaulatan negara dan maruah umat tergadai.

Negara-negara ASEAN

Negara Asia Tenggara pula menjadi ‘padang permainan’ kuasa besar seperti Amerika Syarikat dan China. Di tengah-tengah pelaburan dan perdagangan, tekanan juga datang bersama. Apabila Trump mengenakan tarif secara besar-besaran, ASEAN terkesan secara langsung.

Kebergantungan ekonomi yang tinggi terhadap kuasa luar menjadikan negara ASEAN tidak mampu bersuara lantang. Perpecahan dalaman rantau ini juga melemahkan kuasa rundingan mereka di mata dunia.

Apa Jalan Ke Hadapan?

Penyatuan Dunia Islam dan ASEAN: Bangunkan kekuatan ekonomi, teknologi, dan diplomasi bersama untuk berdikari.
Diplomasi Berprinsip: Tegakkan keadilan dan kedaulatan tanpa takut tekanan luar.
Pengukuhan Ekonomi Dalaman: Bangunkan industri tempatan dan pelaburan dalam inovasi serta pendidikan.
Kesatuan Suara Umat: Rakyat perlu celik geopolitik dan bangkit menuntut kepimpinan berprinsip.

Sudah tiba masanya dunia Islam dan ASEAN tidak lagi menjadi buah catur dalam permainan kuasa besar. Kita harus memilih: terus tunduk, atau bangkit dengan harga diri. Dunia ini milik semua, bukan segelintir kuasa sahaja.
