Fokus pada Pelupusan: Aminuddin mempertahankan pelupusan anjing liar di kawasan majoriti Melayu atas alasan keselamatan, seperti kes gigitan. Namun, tumpuan kepada pelupusan tanpa pelan jangka panjang seperti TNR (Tangkap, Mandul, Lepas) menunjukkan pendekatan reaktif.

Kedah membuktikan bahawa walaupun dengan sumber terhad, kerajaan boleh memimpin usaha kebajikan haiwan, menjadikannya model yang patut dicontohi.

Cadangan: Jalan ke Hadapan untuk Negeri Sembilan

Untuk menangani isu anjing terbiar secara bertanggungjawab, Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan perlu mengambil pendekatan proaktif seperti Kedah, dengan fokus pada kerjasama dan penyelesaian jangka panjang.

Bina Shelter: Melabur dalam shelter seperti Pak Mie Shelter, walaupun berskala kecil, untuk menempatkan anjing dan kucing terbiar, dengan kerjasama NGO seperti SPCA.
Program TNR Bersepadu: Lancarkan program TNR dengan sokongan Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar, seperti yang dicadangkan di Port Dickson, untuk mengawal populasi haiwan terbiar.
Tabung Kebajikan Haiwan: Cipta dana khusus untuk shelter dan TNR, dengan melibatkan sumbangan korporat atau awam, memastikan kelestarian kewangan.
Kempen Kesedaran: Promosikan adopasi dan tanggungjawab pemilik haiwan melalui kempen “Adopt, Don’t Shop” untuk mengurangkan bilangan haiwan terbiar.
Dialog dengan NGO: Adakan mesyuarat dengan NGO seperti Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue (MIAR) untuk merangka pelan menyeluruh, bukannya mencabar mereka.

Dengan langkah ini, Negeri Sembilan boleh menunjukkan komitmen terhadap semua hidupan, menjadikan kebajikan haiwan sebagai sebahagian daripada agenda negeri.
