Anak bongsu keluarga, berusia 13 tahun, ditemui cedera parah di garaj kereta dan kini dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) Hospital Melaka dalam keadaan stabil. Keluarga ini kehilangan bapa, seorang tukang masak, enam bulan sebelum kejadian akibat penyakit, meninggalkan Vernita sebagai penyara tunggal.

Siasatan Polis dan Status Terkini

Kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan (pembunuhan). Pasukan forensik, diketuai Timbalan Ketua Polis Melaka SAC Ahmad Jefferi Abdullah dan Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah AC Eu Kee Leong, masih mengumpul bukti. Suspek cuba memusnahkan bukti selepas kejadian, menunjukkan pembunuhan dirancang.
