Pertahanan Negara Bolos Kerana Rasuah

Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) melumpuhkan sindiket penyeludupan yang didalangi oleh pegawai-pegawai kanan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM). Lima pegawai kanan tentera termasuk seorang perisik tentera serta lima orang awam berusia 30 hingga 55 tahun ditahan di sekitar Lembah Klang melalui Ops Sohor hasil risikan Bahagian Perisikan SPRM dengan bantuan Pasukan Anti-Corruption Tactical Squad (ACTS).

Pendedahan ini mencalar imej ATM. Jika sebelum ini persepsi jenayah banyak mengarah kepada polis, kini ia merebak ke dalam tubuh angkatan tentera.

Sindiket & Bayaran Rasuah

Siasatan mendapati sindiket dadah dan senjata sanggup membayar RM30,000 hingga RM50,000 kepada mana-mana pihak penguat kuasa yang menyalurkan maklumat serta melindungi operasi mereka. Jumlah lumayan ini menunjukkan bahawa integriti segelintir anggota keselamatan mudah tergadai demi habuan segera.

Penangkapan ke atas penerima rasuah tidak akan lengkap tanpa tindakan ke atas pemberi rasuah. Kedua-duanya adalah perosak negara. Mereka perlu didedahkan kepada umum untuk memberi gambaran bahawa anasir pengkhianat ini tidak pernah kebal daripada undang-undang.

Serbuan Op Sohor Dedah Skandal Besar

Bahagian Perisikan SPRM bersama Pasukan Anti-Corruption Tactical Squad (ACTS) melancarkan Op Sohor selepas setahun risikan. Hasil operasi berjaya membongkar penglibatan 10 individu termasuk tiga pegawai, dua bekas pegawai kanan tentera dan seorang warga Indonesia.

Rampasan turut dibuat termasuk:

  • Wang tunai lebih RM63,000
  • Bungkusan dadah, alat penimbang & penyukat
  • Minuman keras
  • Senjata tiruan

Paling mengejutkan, salah seorang pegawai tentera yang ditahan adalah dari Kor Risik DiRaja, menguatkan lagi bukti bahawa anasir dalaman mampu menggugat keselamatan negara.

Kesimpulan: Rasuah Musuh Utama Pertahanan

Persenjataan canggih, teknologi peperangan moden atau bajet pertahanan berbilion ringgit sekalipun tidak akan berguna jika asas pertahanan negara runtuh akibat rasuah. Musuh tidak perlu menyerang dari luar sekiranya ada pengkhianat di dalam.

Peperangan sebenar yang wajib dimenangi dahulu ialah memerangi rasuah. Tanpa integriti, negara akan sentiasa rapuh dan mudah digugat.
