MCMC Ketatkan Pendaftaran Kad SIM — Hanya 2 Nombor Setiap Telco

Kuala Lumpur, 22 Okt 2025 — Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC) bakal mengetatkan garis panduan pendaftaran kad SIM prabayar di Malaysia yang dijangka mula dilaksanakan pada suku pertama tahun depan.

Timbalan Menteri Komunikasi, Teo Nie Ching berkata, mengikut garis panduan sejak 2017, setiap individu kini dibenarkan memiliki sehingga lima nombor prabayar bagi setiap syarikat telekomunikasi.

“Ini bermaksud seseorang boleh mempunyai lima nombor daripada Maxis, lima daripada Celcom, lima daripada Digi, lima daripada U Mobile dan lima daripada YTL, menjadikan jumlah yang agak besar untuk satu individu,” katanya.

Had Baharu Pendaftaran Kad SIM

MCMC kini dalam proses siasatan awam bagi mencadangkan had baharu, iaitu maksimum dua nombor prabayar bagi setiap telco untuk warganegara Malaysia.

Bagi warga asing, mereka hanya dibenarkan memiliki dua nombor prabayar sahaja tanpa mengira syarikat telekomunikasi yang digunakan.

“Langkah ini diambil bagi mengurangkan penyalahgunaan kad SIM prabayar yang sering digunakan untuk mendaftar akaun media sosial palsu bagi tujuan penipuan, penyebaran maklumat palsu dan ugutan,” jelas Nie Ching.

Menurut beliau, siasatan awam ini dijangka selesai pada hujung November dan garis panduan baharu disasarkan berkuat kuasa pada suku pertama tahun depan.

Langkah ini dilihat sebagai usaha serius kerajaan bagi memastikan ekosistem digital negara lebih selamat serta bebas daripada aktiviti penyalahgunaan identiti dan jenayah siber.
